Amberflo Billing Cloud
Amberflo Billing Cloud is a flexible, full-featured solution designed to support modern billing models, including:
- Usage-based pay-as-you-go pricing
- Hybrid billing that blends fixed and variable charges
- Traditional subscription-based monthly fees
What sets Amberflo apart is its modular architecture. The rating engine is decoupled from the metering and usage pipeline, giving you unmatched flexibility to define and evolve pricing strategies. This architecture allows you to:
- Create and manage highly customized pricing models
- Apply different rates across customers based on usage, volume, or prepaid agreements
As usage is recorded by Amberflo’s metering service, charges are calculated dynamically based on your active pricing plan. The platform generates a metered invoice that includes fixed charges, usage-based charges, and any applicable discounts.
Invoices can then be routed seamlessly to downstream systems such as Stripe for payment processing and ERP tools for accounting and revenue recognition.
Overlap with Stripe and other billing tools
One important thing to note: Using Amberflo for billing and invoicing means that you do not need an active account with Stripe Billing or Stripe Invoicing. The only Stripe product that is required is Stripe Payments for collecting and processing payments from your customers' payment method of choice.
- Stripe Billing includes a monthly charge of 0.5% of the amount invoiced.*
- Stripe Invoicing includes a monthly charge of 0.4% of the amount invoiced for each invoice.*
