Common Challenges in Cloud Cost Optimization
Enterprises face ongoing pressure to manage and reduce cloud costs, but identifying actionable opportunities can be difficult. Cost data is often fragmented across accounts and services, making it hard to surface inefficiencies. Teams may not know which services are overprovisioned, when to commit to reserved pricing, or where spend is increasing unexpectedly. As a result, cloud cost optimization efforts are often reactive, inconsistent, and heavily manual.

Using the Savings Feature
Savings recommendations appear in a dynamic table that is updated daily with any new opportunities. The most impactful savings are listed at the top, based on estimated monthly savings.
Each row in the table includes:
- Impact: The estimated monthly savings amount and percentage.
- Name: A summary of the resource or configuration.
- Recommendation: The type of action recommended (e.g., Rightsize, Purchase Reserved Instances, Purchase Savings Plan, Modernize resource to current generation).
- Resource Type: The kind of resource or service the recommendation is for.
- Region: Where the resource is located.
- Effort Level: An indicator of how complex the recommendation is to implement.
Clicking on a row expands the recommendation to show detailed context, including:
- Account or subaccount ID
- Current and recommended cost
- Monthly savings and savings percentage
- Resource ID and configuration details
- Whether the change requires a restart or supports rollback
- Date of last update
These recommendations are actionable, transparent, and designed to help you quickly understand the cost-saving potential and implementation effort. The more you review and act on these insights, the more your organization can optimize spend and avoid unnecessary costs.
